Ulalena... poor Tana, that sounds terrible. I lost two cats to cancer many years ago, it was so sad.

My current cat who is sick has a spastic bowel disorder, he has had it since my family adopted him about four years ago. It means he has to eat special prescription food and only small amounts at a time. So he has trouble getting enough good nutrition. Recently he went through a few days where he was refusing to eat at all so the vet did blood tests and found he needed more treatment than just the prescription food because his liver was in trouble from the lack of food and he was losing weight too fast. So now we are giving him steroids. Unfortunately the last time we gave him steroids for the spastic bowel, the side effect it has of suppressing the immune system meant he got a terrible virus infection that kept him from being able to breathe; we are afraid it will happen again but so far he is breathing OK. At this point, without the steroid his liver will fail so we are very worried.

Naytiri, good luck, you will have a lot of fun when you go to Japan!

Ah, I keep my fingers crossed for you, Naytiri, that you have all the fun in Japan some day! <3

Thank you so much for your good thoughts, Truffula! ^-^
Tana is in remission now and we hope he´ll have many good years.
Chemo is always hard yet we developed some routine, including Tana.

I had a cat with IBD, too. Linus. He lived for a decade with it.
We treated him with a homeopathic therapy, to be exact he got me into homeopathy
because he responded so well to it. He was diagnosed with 8 and lived up to 18,
many happy years.
Did you try something naturopathic additionally already?
Sending my love and a bucket full of healing stardust out to you and your cat
and my cats are sending kitty kisses!

Hey! I totally forgot about this topic!

I hope your cat will feel better Ulalena! I lost my cat recently and still miss him sometimes :s

About leatherworking, sewing is done all by hand and I can't do things as intricate as making teddy bears! I am experimenting with dyeing techniques and I'm getting funny results :p
I made a FB page on it, it's called "Malwene's imaginarium", I hope to share some more pictures of my trials there :)

As for work, changing position is quite surprisingly stressfull and fun at the same time. I love the challenge much more than I tought I would!

Welcome back, Malwene! ^-^ ;)

I tried to find your Imaginarium on facebook yet can´t locate it, perhaps because it´s facebook France?
Could you show us a link? <3

I am very sorry for your recent loss, love. It´s always so hard to let your cat companions cross the rainbow bridge.
I wish all mine could stay with me forever.
My oldest one so far lived up to 19!
As for Tana, yes, he is relatively good after his 9th chemotherapy, almost halftime now!
Naturally, there are site effects yet we cope.
When he gains more years with this, it´s worth it.

Here are some of my teddy bears and mice. I am not that great and I need months to complete one
yet I love them nevertheless. :-)

OMG!! Your Teddies are so adorable! I can't choose which one I like best! I adore the one with a big nose and a cute smile, yet the others with a "classical" face look so cute too!
What size are they approximately?

My page on FB is here: Malwene's Imaginarium
I need to post more creations, too many ideas, too little time!

They all have big noses, lol. Which color? I can´t remember if I added the names.......
They are between 15 and 25 cm.

And I adore your leatherwork, too. Isn´t it hard to put the needle through the leather?
The intricate patterns are so amazing!!!! <3

I love both your crafts, ulalena and Malwene.

The teddy called Benito2 was my favorite - like sunshine! They're all so cute, too.

Malwene, the celtic knot designs are amazing, one even with - was it a rat's tail making a design?

Ah, Benito was a group project. We sew it with a group of 15 with small alterations from the same pattern.
The project and pictures were even published in a Teddy journal.
He is famous, lol. :D
