Wondering if anyone can clarify where these items are from?

I was checking through my inventory to see what I had, when I found these items in my 'Various' tab:

Christmas Stars

Moonstone

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what they are exactly? Were they tokens from an event that I forgot about?

They probably are from events you have forgotten; the Christmas Star is from the snowball event, I think. Not sure about the moonstone, though.

The moonstones are given for the Gothibirthday

I guess you win it last year !

However, they can't be used anymore, so, if you want, you can sale them at The Boutique
